Purpose (Scope of Ministry): To worship and uplift the name of Jesus Christ through music; To encourage and lead the congregation in worship
The Adult Choir serves the church by joyfully lifting up the name of Jesus Christ through music and by leading the congregation in meaningful, Spirit-filled worship. This ministry blends heart and harmony to help guide the church into the presence of God with excellence, warmth, and reverence.
Choir members are not required to be SMRBC members, but they must be believers who seek to live lives that reflect Christ. Faithfulness to weekly rehearsals and Sunday worship services is encouraged, along with participation in annual music programs and special events as scheduled by the Choir Director or Associate Pastor for Worship and Discipleship. The choir also ministers by creating a welcoming environment for guests and newcomers during rehearsals and services.
This ministry is a beautiful way to serve the Lord with your voice and presence, joining a community of believers who are passionate about worship and committed to honoring Jesus through song.
