Purpose (Scope of Ministry): To host church-wide functions, such as church suppers and other ministry functions.

The Kitchen & Special Events Ministry serves the church body by planning, preparing, and serving meals for church-wide gatherings, including monthly suppers, receptions, and other significant events. They also assist with Sunday morning hospitality by providing coffee, tea, and snacks in-between services. This ministry creates welcoming spaces for fellowship and hospitality through well-organized, thoughtfully prepared functions that reflect Christlike care and excellence.

Team members minister by managing kitchen operations, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring meals are served on time and with joy. From planning menus and shopping for supplies to preparing meals and cleaning up, every task is an opportunity to serve others in love. The team also supports special events like church socials, choir receptions, and ministry celebrations.

Those who serve in this ministry play a vital behind-the-scenes role in church life. The ministry is led by a chairperson and coordinated through the Pastor for Outreach & Administration. While the chair must be a church member, others may serve without membership. A heart for hospitality, attention to detail, and willingness to work as part of a team are the key ingredients to this meaningful ministry.
