Core Beliefs
At Staples Mill we are unified by our shared love for Jesus, our shared confidence in the Scriptures, and our shared commitment to the Great Commission.
  1. We believe that the Bible was inspired by God and is completely true in all it affirms.  It is the sole authority for all of our beliefs and practices.
  2. We believe in one God who eternally exists as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
  3. We believe that all people have been created in the image of God, but are born with a fallen nature and are separated from God because of sin.
  4. We believe that Jesus came to rescue people from sin and hell through His sacrificial death and victorious resurrection.
  5. We believe that a person can be reconciled to God through repentance and faith in Jesus alone.
  6. We believe that Jesus intends for His followers to impact the world as salt and light, sharing the gospel in Virginia and at the ends of the earth.
  7. We believe that the church is a fellowship of baptized believers under the lordship of Jesus who have committed to Him and to each other to worship, while making disciples in our neighborhood and among the nations.
