Purpose (Scope of Ministry): To engage the church in greater evangelistic outreach both as a church and individually through training, teaching, prayer, accountability, resources, and opportunities.
The Outreach Team’s purpose is to engage the church in evangelistic outreach, both individually and as a congregation, through training, prayer, accountability, resources, and opportunities. The team aims to educate members on the biblical command to make disciples, create a sense of urgency about evangelism, and equip members with tools to share the Gospel effectively. The team also organizes events and provides resources to help church members engage in outreach efforts, whether through regular ministries or special events.
Team members will work through Life Groups, ministries, worship services, and special events. They'll encourage evangelistic teaching and prayer, offer training and mentoring, and create opportunities for members to share their faith. They also coordinate outreach events to equip members and foster a culture of evangelism. Through services, ministries, and Life Groups, the team emphasizes the importance of evangelism and provides avenues for prayer and biblical teaching. The team works in collaboration with the Pastor for Outreach and Administration.
Effectiveness is measured by the church’s consistent awareness of the Great Commission, members’ comfort in sharing the Gospel, opportunities for outreach, and a spirit of prayer and encouragement among the congregation.
