Maximizing the Easter Opportunity

Easter is almost here — April 20th! At Staples Mill this will be another Sunday to celebrate our crucified and risen Savior! Since we already worship Jesus with our whole hearts every Sunday, what is unique about Easter? Easter gives us a wonderful opportunity to invite even more friends and neighbors to join us in celebrating Jesus. On Easter more people in our culture will be open to going to church than perhaps any other time of year. Our prayer is that many of our friends will come to church and encounter the risen Savior, putting their faith in Him!

Here are several ways we can maximize this opportunity:

  1. Pick up several of our Easter invite cards (available Sunday morning, April 6th) and invite an unbelieving friend or neighbor to come to church with you.

  2. Take advantage of our new Easter morning schedule to help up make space for the many guests you will be inviting.

    Here’s the plan:

    We are pausing our adult or student life groups on Easter so some of you who normally come to the very full 9:30 service can shift to 8:00 or 11:00 to create more room for others on this special day. With no life groups on this morning our parking spaces will free up much faster so the next group of worshippers can find spaces.

    You can also help by parking in the gravel overflow lot if you are physically able. Like good hosts, leave the best spots for the many guests who will be coming. Also, plan for your family members to ride together so that fewer spots will be taken in the lot.

  3. Pray, invite, pray, invite, and pray! 

May Christ be exalted like never before on this coming Easter Sunday at SMRBC, as we worship Him and watch the Lord transform lives! He is worthy!
