Easter Message: Living in Light of the Resurrection
As we prepare for our Easter celebration, I encourage you to meditate deeply on the resurrection of Jesus and why this matters greatly in your everyday life. Here are three ways the resurrection of Jesus should be shaping your life.
1. You can live with resurrection assurance! The gospel is true! All that Jesus claimed was validated by His rising from the dead. You can be sure your faith is in the right One, and that He will keep all of His promises. If you have trusted in Jesus, all of your sins were indeed forgiven! Jesus has given you eternal life!
John 11:25–26 (ESV) “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, 26 and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die."
2. You can live with resurrection courage! Since your Savior has defeated sin and death, you can live a fearless life! What has God called you to do? Do it. Since Jesus was raised from the dead and promises to raise you up on the last day, what can mere man do to you? Be bold in sharing the gospel and obeying all that He has called you to do. The disciples were transformed into courageous world-changers by their encounters with the risen Savior! You know the same Jesus. Be just as bold!
Hebrews 13:8 (ESV) 8 "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever."
3. You can live in resurrection victory! Are your struggles with sin any match for the risen Savior? Yes, we are weak, and our temptations are intense. But we have far greater power available to us! Do you know that the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead lives within you? Battle and overcome your temptations with confidence, relying on His resurrection power. Reach out if you need help learning how to apply His power in your life. We are here for you.
Romans 8:11 (ESV) 11 "If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you."

He is risen!
