Church Event:
Sunday morning Graduate Recognition service, gift/book presentation, devoted time of prayer over these students
Senior Summit will be held on the SMRBC campus on a Saturday evening weeks prior to Graduation Sunday. Dinner will be served and a guest speaker will address graduates and families.
Family Celebration:
Parents will present a written blessing to their child at the conclusion of the Senior Summit.
Brief Description:
This Building Block is all about parents preparing their child to leave home. The church will encourage and resource parents to lead conversations with their child about how to be an influence for Christ, dating and marriage issues, and life skills such as managing finances. Also, parents will develop a plan for how to prepare their child to defend their faith once they leave home. The Building Block 7 Parent Seminar will take place in the fall of each year for parents of seniors.
