As we prepare to close out the year 2021, celebrate with me how good God has been to us. During this prolonged pandemic He has held us together while enabling us to adapt all of our ministries to press forward in His work. God has even added over forty new members into the SMRBC family over this time! But our work is far from done. We have the message of hope and life that our city desperately needs. Think of the hundreds of singles and families that live around you that do not yet know the Savior whose birth we are celebrating in these days. Each day for them is another day of aimlessness and brokenness apart from God. Each day is another day closer to an eternity without Him.
As we prepare to enter 2022, let’s increase our praying for our many lost friends and neighbors. Let’s suit up each day wearing our SMRBC wristbands, being eager to invite people to church and to initiate conversations about the reality of hope in Christ. May the year ahead be a season of great harvest as we faithfully and joyfully point our city to Jesus. I’m excited to be on this mission with you!
“And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them inthe name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.””
Matthew 28:18-20 ESV
